As many of you may know, my mom and I work as a team creating patterns and projects, and it’s always special when we get to share that process together. I hope you enjoy this video of our conversation as we discuss the Stitch Your Heart Out pattern and the inspiration behind it.
In the video, I share vintage treasures from my personal collection that helped inspire the design, along with a variety of fabrics, closures, and embellishments to spark your creativity. One of the things I love most about this pattern is how easy it is to truly make it your own — whether you’re stitching it for yourself or creating a heartfelt gift for someone special.
You’ll see several versions made from my Treasured Threadz fabric line, as well as the pattern styled in Tula Pink fabrics, which give it such a fun and vibrant look. We also shared some denim and upcycled clothing with my favorite Treasured Threadz embellished patches. Including the Heart to Art piece in Missouri Star Blue that I wore, paired with my patched jean jacket — a perfect example of how these pieces can be styled and worn.
If you’d like to learn more about how I applied these patches with a quilted look and my signature patchwork techniques, check out this post.
For a closer look at the projects featured in this video, I invite you to visit my introductory post about the Stitch Your Heart Out pattern along with more background, inspiration and detail photos.
I hope this pattern encourages you to dig into your fabric stash, add your own personal touches, and truly stitch your heart out.
Happy stitching,
Amy
