I was inspired to design a line of denims that would be versatile for fashion and home. I wanted a fabric that would be comfortable and casual and teamed up with James Thompson Co. to create my line of Crossroads Denim, which now has grown to 19 colors. Crossroads is inspired by and named after an urban neighborhood in my hometown of Kansas City, which has become an artistic haven. We also looked to this district when naming our colors; Midtown Moss, Coffee House Brown and Downtown Teal are a few of our city-inspired names.

Following the launch of the denim, I created a line of Crossroads patterns for my company Indygo Junction. Within this line are patterns that reflect the contemporary vibe of the denim and are designed to work with Crossroads, as well as other fabrics like cotton. We have used Crossroads for a variety of projects: garments, home decor, kitchen items, even whimsical holiday decorations like our recent release Legs Celebrate. Check out a gallery of some of my favorite Crossroads projects. Then, enter the Crossroads Fabric and Pattern giveaway by following the directions in the Rafflecopter seen at the end of this post. The contest will run through March 30th – good luck!
