Amy Barickman is founder and CCO (Chief Creative Officer) at Indygo Junction, a pattern and book publishing company founded in 1990 to showcase the work of leading fabric and needle arts designers. With her keen eye for design, Amy spotted the emerging vintage art movement and collected an impressive archive of vintage ephemera. So, on the heels of Indygo Junction’s success, Amy founded The Vintage Workshop to create products that allow crafters online access to timeless vintage artwork, as well as original collage, and printables .

Her love of sewing and passion for vintage led Amy to discover The Women’s Institute and it’s founder Mary Brooks Picken. Inspired by the work of Mrs. Picken, Amy published Vintage Notions: An Inspirational Guide to Needlework, Cooking, Sewing, Fashion & Fun, which share vintage projects, inspiring essays, 12 sewing patterns and holiday gift and decorating ideas.

Keep up with Amy on her blog, AmyBarickman.com/blog where she chronicles her research into the world of vintage design, everyday inspiration and her life as a designer. She also shares vintage inspired projects and free vintage images.
