Amy Barickman, is founder of Indygo Junction, a pattern and book publishing company founded in 1990 to showcase the work of leading fabric and needle arts designers. With her keen eye for design, Amy spotted the emerging vintage art movement and collected an impressive archive of vintage ephemera.

Her love of sewing and passion for vintage led Amy to discover The Women’s Institute and it’s founder Mary Brooks Picken. Inspired by the work of Mrs. Picken, Amy published Vintage Notions: An Inspirational Guide to Needlework, Cooking, Sewing, Fashion & Fun, which share vintage projects, inspiring essays, 12 sewing patterns and holiday gift and decorating ideas.
