I am obsessed with patterns in nature…particularly during my summer sabbatical in Northern Michigan when I am able to observe and photograph constantly… Unlike Kansas summers, Michigan summers allow for living outside most days… I see pattern everywhere- in water, loons, on a petoskey stone, and I am compelled to record it.
Will I use them in a fabric or quilt design? Maybe… All I know is that Mother Nature is the most imaginative designer I’ve seen, and it’s always good to look to her first.
