Last week I traveled up to St. Louis to the Baby Lock Common Threads event. This was my second time to be a part of this inspiring and educational retreat. I love getting a chance to connect with a really wonderful community of bloggers, magazine editors, publishers, and of course, the fabulous people at Baby Lock. It was also for me to share all of Indygo Junction’s new patterns and books with my industry friends. And of course we get to work on and learn all about different Baby Lock machines, which is so much fun. Read more about the amazing classes and projects I made over on the Indygo Junction blog!
This event also offers me a chance to spend time with my friend “Skippy” aka Skip to My Lou blog aka Cindy Hopper. Skippy and I met years ago at the Creative Connection which was sponsored by Where Woman Create. We became fast friends after finding out we lived only an hour from each other in Kansas. We decided to travel together to Common Threads, and since our adventures together usually include a trend shopping excursion, we decided to build in an extra day to explore several St. Louis haunts- Lafayette Square and Cherokee Street. Check out the gallery below of my favorite St. Louis finds.
