I have loved sharing Love You to Pieces at several recent shows and events. And with this post, I’m excited to share this peek inside with you.
Although self-publishing Love You to Pieces turned out to be a bigger challenge that I imagined at the start, the joy and delight I’ve witnessed when I’ve shared it with new people for the first time has meant so much to me, and it has definitely made the long journey of bringing it to fruition feel worthwhile.
At this point, I need some help spreading excitement about Love You to Pieces, and I hope you’ll join me.
Here are some ideas:
1. Ask your local fabric shop to order a copy for you. Be sure to mention that Love You to Pieces comes with Bonus Content—step-by-step instructions for making Sunshine Polly, Yo-Yo Clown, and Sock Monkey as well as quilt history videos. These patterns and videos could definitely be used as the basis for classes and events, maybe even a Love You to Pieces club to celebrate friendship and the joy of making by hand.
2. Recommend Love You to Pieces to your favorite bookstores, gift shops, and retailers that specialize in antique and vintage items.
3. Buy the book online and leave a review! Add a photo of your favorite character or a video explaining how the book has touched your heart.
3. Buy a copy of Love You to Pieces for a special pal (young or old) and, to celebrate the occasion, read it to them. Maybe make plans to sew together (offer to teach them if they are a beginner) and make each other dolls from the book using the Bonus Patterns for Sunshine Polly, Yo-Yo Clown, and Sock Monkey as your guide.
