VN Excerpt: Words of Wisdom

Disguising Generous Proportions
Inspiration, 1923

Growing Old Graciously
Fashion Service, 1929
I wish that every woman, as she grows older, might sift her values and feel that she would not change places with younger women if she could. Be a Little Kinder
Inspiration, 1921
Nothing should be allowed to prevent us from doing all we can to relieve the hungry, to cheer the sorrowing, to brighten the depressed, to make more glad the glad. Nothing should deter us from giving of our store to the poor and needy, the children, and our friends. And if we can’t give gifts, we can give cheerfulness and friendliness and a little bit of our time.
