My First Library Order!

I am enjoying wonderful weeks in Michigan with my family and friends, three so far and two more to go. This is a much needed break from my daily work routine in Kansas City, here I refuel….time with my kids and enjoying all the beauty of “Up North” are at the top of the list. With modern technology I am able to stay connected even when I am on the lake, so work never goes away, I just turn down the volume. This year that has not been quite as easy as I anticipate the launch my new book Vintage Notions, official release date Sept. 1st. I have several pre-release events scheduled in the coming weeks. I will be doing a book signing on August 5th at the Liberty Bell Quilt Shop in Cedar, Michigan, and the shop with have a trunk show of Indygo Junction patterns for several weeks. I will also be sharing some of the original Institute material that inspired me to publish this book. If you are in the area, come say hello!

I will also have the book and some of the sewn garments from patterns that are in the book on display at the Torch Lake Artisans Guild Quilt Show at the Alden Depot. Alden is an appropriate spot as I mention my connection with this town in the July chapter. I also received my first library order last week for the book from the library in Alden!
