Favorite Vintage Advice: Napkin Etiquette

VintageNotions_Jan

The holiday season is approaching, which means one thing: Parties! Whether it be dinners, cocktails, soirees or shindigs, you will want to be on your best behavior this holiday season. The Woman’s World Book of Etiquette has some great advice about walking the tightrope that is napkin etiquette. What do you do when you have a large dinner-size napkin? How do you leave your napkin when you are finished with your meal? All of those questions and more are answered, so you don’t have to worry about any social gaffes at the dinner table! Find more of these timeworn tips in my book Vintage Notions.

My favorite quote: “…do not open it all up, so that when you raise it to your mouth, it looks as though you were taking up a corner of the tablecloth.” Hilarious!
